Registration Process

Once you download the app., tap on the Zoosk icon on the phone dashboard, it will launch the app. Here also zoosk has maintained the same login facility as you can register thru the conventional way or if you are tired of doing the registration then use the more easy route of facebook login to be the face on zoosk.com.

Taking the conventional route to see how it goes, I needed to specify the name, userid, password and age in the first step of the registration.

After the first step, you get a confirmation mail to your specified email address and you need to click on confirmation box from your android phone to get you account started. One you have clicked on that you are allowed to go to the 2nd step.

The 2nd step is for personal traits, like all other 100 free dating sites. You need to provide details like appearance, location and info about your professional status. This app has an inbuilt GPS system integrated with it, just click on locate me and it will locate you and update your current location with city name.

Login & Ease of Use

User can login using the email address and password. Like the few previously reviewed apps like PoF and DateHookUp, this app is also very user friendly and all the menus like profile, views, activities, search, friends and etc. is on the app dashboard help in the navigation.

Users can login using the email address and password. Like the few previously reviewed app like PoF and DateHookUp, this app is also very user friendly and all the menus like profile, views, activities, search, friends and etc. is on the app dashboard help in the navigation.

Photo Profile Section

Uploading photos is quick and easy, if you go thru the conventional path of registration then you can upload photos from your phone gallery or can take a quick snap from your phone cam. You cannot skip this step at all.

If you coming thru facebook sign up then you can import pics from your facebook profile.

Browse & Search Features

Browsing with this app is fun and exciting and free mobile dating has never been this easy before.

Menus are simplified and categorized in different section. Tap on search and you will see matched profiles for you.

Zoosk.com work on scientific astrology and zodiac match system, on basis of that you get your search with the best matches and they keep you posted thru your actual mail account. Although, one can argue the validity of the so called scientific methods for matching as there have been no conclusive evidence or studies conducted on this subject to date.

There are only 14 user comments for Zoosk free mobile dating app on the android market site, this is far less than the number of installed base out there (almost 500,000). The overall user review is good about this app. This app scores 3.5 out of 5. Going thru the user comments about this app, there are many users that faced the problem of ‘force close’ and I happen to be one of them. The app asks you to do force close and crashed many times before I could get it working. They should look into this ASAP to get this resolved as there many….

Conclusion

Look and feel of the app is good and much similar to their dating site, even registration has not been compromised and you can do a signup from conventional way or with a facebook account.

Uploading photos is a must with this app unlike apps of other free dating sites where it is optional, you can upload pic from the phone gallery, shoot it directly on the phone cam or import from facebook. User navigation is very good on zoosk for a free mobile dating app.

Nice looks and feel, easy to use, social networking connectivity, good communication option after subscription, scientific matching pattern and millions of members has a lot of things going for this app. All in all a good app to install but they need to resolve the few bugs that was reported by me and many of the reviewers.

User can login to their DateHookUp free mobile dating app by userid and password.
As you login for the first time you need to describe about yourself in a few words. Entire app is neatly designed and easy to navigate thru all the menus. Though there were a couple of occasions when the app crashed. But that is considerable.
Very similar to PoF, DateHookUp.com is also favored by ease of use and by providing all the menus at the top of the app like we have top menus in 100 free dating sites.

Uploading photo is an optional step in the registration process. You can upload a pic. after login to your free dating profile and just tap on photos option. You can upload photo from your phone’s gallery. Like other free mobile dating app, taking snap from phone cam and save it on dating app is not a feature with DateHookUp.com.
You can upload maximum 16 photos to your profile.

Browse & Search Features

Browsing thru this app is fun; entire app is very swift and I did not get issue during the review. As you login to this app you land to dashboard of the DateHookUp app where there are menus like – quick options, comprises of online member, who viewed you, your profile link along with photo uploading link.

Searching is the part of top menu of the app. Like their free dating sites counterpart Plentyoffish, Datehookup.com searching is divided into categories of 5 sections.

• Quick - Here you can search by selecting age criteria, country and distance from specified zip code.
• Advance – In addition to quick search user can make more refined search by filtering singles on the basis of physical, education and employment and personality.

• Keywords – Here you can search online singles by their traits, for e.g. if you are looking for online singles who like action movies. You can search by this but wait before searching by this keywords to ensure that you have specified same in your description as it picks up keywords from there.
All searches made can be saved for future reference.

Messaging

The messaging feature is very close to their free dating sites website, DateHookup.com. You can send wink to a searched profile, send email, add as friend and add as favorite. Ensure you fill out your complete profile and upload your photo before triggering any communication as it is likely to get 10 times better response from other online singles.
