I was born in Minneapolis Minnesota USA, and grew up in San Diego and Massachusetts. My father was the head of the math department of the high school that I graduated from. My family (I am the oldest; one brother, one sister) is rare; we are all still close, and always have been. My parents are fortunately still with us, bright and happy, and they are the reason I moved to the Midwest after 25 years of living in Hawaii. I grew up with a relatively healthy imprinting; I know what love is and what it is not. My family began meditating when I was 18, and I have learned to cultivate ever more healthy emotional and physical habits and ways of being. For me love is the greatest reason to live at all, and life should be a joyful celebration.
