Hey there my names Annemarie. I went to the local community college just to get my gen eds done. I will be transferring this fall to a four year university, in Iowa. I work as a camp counselor and lifeguard. I love working with kids I would like to major in special education possibly with a minor in child psychology.
From 2009 to 2010 I spent about year to recover from a car accident that happen on April 6, 2009. It was caused by a 44 year old Crystal Lake women who was looking for her cell phone and came into my lane and hit me head on. I was being the good student heading to school and was only 5 minutes away when it happened. I shattered my lower right leg. I have been through a lot within the last 8 months I've had 13 surgeries, so far and hopefully won't need anymore. I have learned a great deal from this experience it will help me become a better teacher also give me a different perspective on those who have disabilities.
