Sharing Relationship Details on Social Media … What’s Your Take?

From two recent examples (don’t want to point fingers) from Facebook where a husband shared a picture on completion of five romantic years of their married life. This picture was taken on their wedding day with all the family members. What was surprising was he tagged all her family members but, not his wife. How embarrassing for him but how does one manage to make such a blunder.

Another example was very similar, there is no special event like a marriage anniversary or birthday but a romantic husband writes his status thanking his wife for being by his side all these years, this is perfectly all right. However his wife does not even have a Facebook profile. Funny? We think it’s odd.

According to a recent survey by Zoook.com, it reveals that 81% of young adults use technology to communicate to their partner. This is fine but, 60% use social media to express their feeling in public which is a concern.. However, the 81% are worried about what their co-worker will think.

Here are Jumpdates’s views on this, social media is the biggest platform to connect with the loved ones and to know what’s happening in their lives but things like sharing romantic feelings, picture or something that only is appreciated by the two of you should not be a public affair. One should know where to cross the line between taste and boundaries when it comes to personal matters of the heart. Social media would love everything to come to the public light because it drives them more traffic in their way and increases their visibility.

i like facebook for connecting with friends and family, but i value my privacy to much to put intimate information out there for the world to see.

I think for the most part relationship stuff should be left off social media unless announcing your engagement or or marriage otherwise keep the rest to yourself
