In my ongoing search for a good dating site, I came across yet another site through Google. This time we review a paid dating site called WooMe.com

You have the option to skip the profile completion once logged in and start searching for your online date but it is better to finish off the profile section so you you are better matched with other people.

Log In & Customizing Profiles

Users need to login to this site with an email address used at the time of registration. You can also login by the login ID that you selected while creating your profile and is referred to as the WooMe ID.

Customizing is not a big feature of this site, there are very few options available to you for customizing your pages. Options include changing email address, password, making your profile private or public and blocking users.

You can manage you facebook friends with a connection tab in the account settings. Users looking for theme customization and making it more personalized will be a bit disappointed.

Photo Profile Section

Since uploading a photo is part of the registration process, you can also upload photos after registering and logging in. Uploading your photos can be done from you computer but there is no option to upload from orkut or facebook accounts. Uploaded pictures don’t show any loss in quality or resolution.

Personally, I prefer an unlimited number of photos to upload to any site and WooMe only allows a maximum of 8 photos.

Browse & Search Feature
Browsing through different menus is a breeze since all the menus are placed distinctively from each other.

Searching is the feature I enjoy discussing and in WooMe.com searching can be done in several ways; people near me, who’s online and recently joined.
Using the search option ‘people near me’ brings all matched profiles to the results page.

There is no option on specifying a distance in the area you are looking for finding online dates.

The ‘online now’ search option returns all the people who’s online on the woome site currently and also anyone who recently joined.

You can refine the search further with the quick search results of ‘people near me’ by specifying lifestyle and habits in your search criteria.

Messaging

With so many different websites offering different messaging solutions for contacting other members, I was curious to find out what WooMe has to offer me.

The messaging feature looks similar to other dating sites and features email, sending gifts, pinging with gestures, rating photo and profile, blocking user and sharing your view with you facebook friends.

In order to use the IM, you need to have a premium account with WooMe in addition to reading the messages sent by other users.

Feature like live chat also need a premium account called the VIP account, and this will fetch you back $9.99 to $24.99 per month depending on the number of months you subscribe to the service.

Other Features
WooMe has most of the basic features such as a blog and a community section. One feature I loved using is creating chat session and shuffle people.
In chat session, you can create chat session and invite people in that session. You can create the session on any date in the future. Shuffle people is the feature returning a random selection of people with photos.
