A cuddly dork

I'm one of those guys who likes to think they are funny. I'm a big kidder and it's often hard to tell when I'm serious (*hint: rarely). I'm also a nice guy (or so I've been told). All and all I'm just real laid back and easy to get along with. I do however strive to be honest and tend to be very committed. I'm far from shy. I'm somewhat of a nerd. I love video games and books. I've been known to watch an anime or two and read comics/manga. I spend way too much time on the internet. On the rare occasions I do go outside (that's a nerd joke, I go outside relatively often) I like to hike, sit by a bonfire, swim, and just lay and watch the stars (don't take this to mean I'm romantic, I'm not that good at romance). Other things I enjoy include: writing, going to a bar, singing karaoke (if I drink enough at said bar), hanging out with the friends, going to the movies, or just hanging around the house (a favorite pastime). I also do A LOT of random research when something strikes my fancy. As a result I know a ton of random facts. However, I have a particular interest in pets and have researched a lot in particular about dogs, fish, and birds. As far as aspirations go, I'm at UAB pursuing a degree in Sociology with the end goal of becoming a probation/parole officer. Unfortunately because of new university policies and procrastination, I'm not there this semester (and only 1-2 more semesters until I graduate) but I plan to go back next Spring.
