I am 64 years young and active. I like to travel but also need my home base. I am retired and enjoy doing the things I never had time for when I was working, such as traveling, genealogy research or just having a quiet evening relaxing and listening to music. I like the outdoors and being around water...lakes, streams or oceans........I find them soothing and peaceful. I like to try to do new things. I don't like drama or arguing. Life's too short for that. My friends tell me I have a good sense of humor and I love being around people who like to laugh. A sense of humor is so important in a relationship. I am very patriotic and do a lot of volunteer work at the VA Medical Center. I think our vets should be appreciated much more than they are.
I have been a daughter, wife, mother and caregiver. For the first time in my life I am living alone and now I think it is time for me to stop and smell the roses and enjoy life.
