Saajan is story of a poet Aman (Sanjay Datt) who is unknown to the world and world knows him by his imaginary name Sagar by which he writes poems. Aman has a best friend called Akash (Salman Khan). Pooja (Madhuri Dixit) is a secret admirer of Sagar and is in love with him. One day Pooja meets Aman who tells her that he knows Sagar and can help her to meet Sagar.
