Headline : I started playing guitar at the age of 9, and never let go of it. By the time I was 15 I had played lead guitar in many rock bands. It was that kind of music that shaped my life. Although 70's rock is what I grew up with, I always had the country music in my ear, because that is what my Mom and Dad listened to. I never realized that people like, Eddie Arnold, Jim Reeves, Hank Williams, Alan Jackson, and George Strait would be my influences and change my life altogether. Now I sing country music for a living. My first album titled "This Time" has 15 songs I have written and recorded. It has a traditional country feel to it. My second album titled %u201CI love it" has also 15 songs . It took on more of a country rock feel to it. My third album titled "Powerful Stuff" has now 13 completed songs. Some of my songs get radio airplay such as "We need Jesus%u201D, Chickens on the railroad tracks" and %u201CI love it%u201D. It feels great to hear them on country radio. I love my job, on my guitar; I can play many sounds such as saxophone, fiddle, banjo and many more, by the use of a Rolland GR-1. It's really something to see.. I really can't help the fact that I look a lot like Alan Jackson, sometimes it helps, sometimes it hurts,. Hire me for your next birthday, wedding, graduation or just a party in the back yard. My prices are very reasonable! I am not and never will be an impersonator. I have been offered that job many times. My motto is, "If you can't be yourself then just don't be at all" Now that we got that coveredI hope you like my new song "We need Jesus" It is getting many good reviews. My new album has something for everyone on it Check out my latest song I wrote called "Gas" it's pretty funny. You all have a great day. God bless everything in your life. Roy Carter
