At 26 you went away
No longer will I hear you say
I love you mom
Or please come by
For it has been 8 years ago
You died
The pain that remains
And the hole left in my heart
You had a home you built
With hands that were your own
A life you were building
And a family as well.
A wife and 3 children
You did leave
And me your mother
Will never let your memory fade.
No answers why you left us
No letter as to your plan.
Sisters and brothers
And family that grieve
And each one of your children
That you will never see grow
For you took your life son
Why no one knows.
But life had no boundaries
And no hold on your pain
You ended it slowly
And must have suffered such pain.
My days are never the same
And my heart yet to heal
But I know in time
It will.
