High point count leads to more spam?

High point count leads to more spam?

This site has a point count that you can see where it says “Your Current Points Standing” or something along those lines. Do you think that it is good to get that number up as high as possible in order to let others know that you are serious about this site or do you think that a higher number just attracts more spammers?

Mine is close to 1,800 and I get at least five messages a day from obvious spammers.

So, if I am looking for “Sex and Dating” as per the title of this forum area, should I shoot for a higher or lower point count?
