About me and who I am looking for :
I am a very down to earth person who loves a good sense of humor. I love to travel the back roads and see new places and maybe meet interesting people along the way. I appreciate good manners in a person and one who understands what the word "family" really means. I am not the type to give orders, nor am I the type to take orders. People say a good relationship is a lot of work. Well it shouldn't be. If two people really care for each other, it shouldn't take work to keep it there, just mutual respect, being best friends, and honesty with each other. Without honesty and trust, there isn't a basis for a relationship. I have been dealt some pretty nasty blows in the past, but still believe there are some good, honest, caring people out there somewhere. In most cases, life is what you make it, and sitting around being depressed over things that can't be changed is a waste of time and life. Don't worry over what you don't have, be thankful for what you do have.

My life style now is fairly quiet and laid back. As I said before, I love spending time with my kids and grandkids. That is a party all in itself. I don't let things or people pressure me. I am for sure not a mall person or a window shopper. I hate shopping. If I have to go, I get in, get it done, and get home. I don't like being pummled by a crowd of people. I do however love going to garage sales. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a fault, but go anyway.

My back ground. Well, I grew up very poor. I learned at a young age that if there was something you wanted, you had to work your tail off for it, it wasn't going to be handed to you. I raised my children with the same values. I think honesty is as much a staple in life as the food we eat.
I have been subjected to violence and will never, I repeat, never, go there again. Life is to short and there isn't any reason good enough to get violent with another person. The exception being protecting your family and self. I like having a few drinks occasionally, but can't stand a drunk. I am not a church goer, but have a firm belief in God. I think if you are a good person, it will show, you don't need to advertise it.
