About me and who I am looking for :
My name is Shelby and I am 21 years old in Canton, Ohio. I have four dogs and two cats. I also have two Godsons: Elijah is 6 and Isaiah is 5.
If you are a Christian, you may know what I am talking about. My desire is to be a Proverbs 31 wife to an Ephesians 5:23-33 husband. If you are unsure of what this means, please message me and I will send the verses to you. Basically it sums up to being the kind of wife who will stand behind or beside her husband in everything no matter what and loving him truly "for better or for worse." I have a great sense of humor and at times am sarcastic but not to the point of being rude. It takes a lot for me to really lose my temper and even then it is not disastrous unless someone is attacking me or someone I love.
I am open to all kinds of music but have partiality towards country, bluegrass, oldies, and gospel. I am also open to any kind of movies but tend to favor romantic comedies, regular comedies, and action / adventure. I love to travel and meet new people / see new things. I am a big football and baseball fan; I cheer for the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers for football, the St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Indians for baseball. I will watch basketball and other sports but just not my favorites. I am in college full-time to be a Child Life Specialist to someday work with children with cancer, so not working right now other than selling Avon. I know, whoop-de-do, right? LOL. It's not much, but it's something!
I am a big country girl at heart and hope to have a farm of my own someday. My family is very important to me and I dream of one day having my own family with the right person that God has for me. About life style :
I have some disabilities, but not enough to slow me down. I like to walk my dogs at least once a day for about a mile and a half to try and lose some of this weight stemming from depression over the past year. I also like to camp, hike, and just plain be outdoors so I am pretty active. As far as my Christian lifestyle, I am not a Bible-thumper, but I do get into my word at least twice a day or whenever I can to be close to Him. I am nothing without God.

My family originated in Germany but all of us were born and raised in the United States. While there is no trace of Irish in our bloodline, I have lately been embracing the Irish culture and studying up on it; something about their way of looking at things appeals to me, and some say I have the Irish temper LOL. Other than that, I am patriotic and love my country - We make mistakes as a nation but we are still one nation under God and always should be - I support our troops.

I am a full-time student studying to be a Child Life Specialist as a Human Development Family Studies Child & Youth major (what a mouthful). My goal is to one day work with children with cancer and/or other life-threatening illnesses because I am a childhood cancer survivor myself. I sell Avon on the side - it's not much, but it keeps me from going stir-crazy!
