Being raised in the south namely OK. and KY. i rarely curse and i always am friendly to strangers and up her i think that's not normal because down south you say hi or wave to someone they wave back ans say howdy. While up here i say hi and they are staring back or looked like he gave e the middle finger and on ocassion i feel like they are gonna grab a gun. But once in awhile you will meet a few that actually talk or say hi and that makes it all worth it.
