INTENTIONS My purpose for joining is to meet someone through here who has a similar faith commitment, interests and values. Like me, she has a desire for marriage and to start a family. Hang on, honey, I am trying to find you! :-) TESTIMONY I became a Christian at nine during youth church. My Christian service include worship leading, door-to-door evangelism, Sunday school teaching, small group leadership, counseling, and retreat facilitation. I've been to several countries (e. g., Belize, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, England, Scotland, Mexico, Ireland, Jamaica, Finland, Spain) doing evangelism (street drama and gospel presentations as well testimony sharing), building houses for those in need, vacationing and also seeking ways to help kids and the poor. INTERESTS My interests include art and art history (Mary Cassatt is my favorite painter and I enjoy doing a variety of artistic expressions), Christian style yoga (flexibility and strength building without the eastern philosophy), acting (many musicals and several feature films), hiking and camping (100s of miles of the Appalachian Trail and trails out west). By the way, I am an Eagle Scout (as is my Father). VOCATION Besides six fun filled summer camp counselor experiences (yippee!!), I've worked as a public school counselor, wilderness camp counselor with delinquents, youth home counselor and as a counselor in a psychiatric hospital. Now I am a counselor educator (full professor) working in the university setting. WHO DO I HOPE TO MEET? She is a single Christian woman with a heart for those less fortunate. She is an active church member and open to going on volunteer service/mission type trips. She values the arts and cares about cultural experiences both here in the USA and abroad. If she likes to hike or backpack, then all the better (Woohoo! :-)) After getting married, she hopes to start a family either by having a baby of her own or to adopt.
