About me and who I am looking for :
Hi, I am Suzanne. I finally am ready, after getting divorced 4 years ago, to start my love life over again and make some new connections out there! I am 38 with a grown daughter and two small grandsons. I am a "Jill of all trades". I fix computers and I run a DJ/Karaoke show for work. I also enjoy writing poems and stories, watching interesting television that could actually teach me something, continuing to learn and grow as a person, and trying to bring out the most positive side of myself that I can each day.
I have fibromyalgia, which is a disabling condition that causes pain in the muscles and joints all over my body, as well as some digestive issues, chronic fatigue issues, and other health problems. I need a man who can be understanding of this, but I try my best not to let it stop me, and just adapt my life around it and continue to do the things I love most.
I love to fish, camp, have bonfires, and go boating from time to time as well. I swim for exercise, or do water aerobics, as it's a less painful way for me to exercise by taking the pressure off my joints. It's also a fun way to meet new people, which I am always up for doing.
I enjoy a good cup of coffee, beer, wine, but I am a very light alcohol user in general. I am allergic to tobacco smoke, so I cannot date anyone who smokes.
I love to cook and enjoy making my famous spaghetti the most! I also enjoy eating out, especially chinese and italian food. I am up for almost any kind of new experience, as long as it's within the realm of what I can handle physically, and enjoy a challenge in life!

I have become somewhat of a homebody, not by choice, but because of my health. I go to my local pool and do water aerobics to try and keep my muscles strong and reduce my pain level as often as I can. I could eat better, but try hard to make better choices whenever I can, and could use some help and motivation in this area of my life. I am allergic to tobacco smoke, so I don't smoke, nor do I go into places where people are allowed to smoke. I enjoy a couple beers or a glass of wine sometimes, but I do not like heavy drinkers. My daughter is 21 years old and has two young sons of her own, so I am a grandma, and they are an important part of my life. She lives far from me, and I travel when I can to see them. I need more sleep than most people, and often get tired more easily because of my pain level. I require a cane, walker, and sometimes a scooter to do some activities, but I have accepted this and seek a man who can do the same.

I grew up in a Lutheran family, but stopped going to church when my parents got divorced. I was 8 years old, so I do not have a formal religious upbringing. When I adopted my daughter I decided to join my local Unitarian Universalist Church, and this is where I still attend from time to time, although I am more spiritual than religious. I have pretty liberal values as far as politics. I am pro-choice because I don't think the government should have the right to tell anyone what to do with their bodies. I have great respect for other points of view, but will stand my ground when challenged. I believe each person has to create their own moral boundaries for what is right and wrong for them. For example, if I have a friend who doesn't believe in premarital sex, then I can respect his or her point of view, but I don't personally believe it's necessary to have a ring and a piece of paper to tell me who I love and who I want be with.
