I like trying new things, going new places, and enjoying the journey, not just the destination. I have two grown kids, age 20 and 22, who mean a lot to me. I enjoy modern music from artists like Adele, Katy Perry, Andy Grammer, Christina Perri, Bruno Mars, Sara Bareilles, Taylor Swift. I don't watch a lot of TV, although I do like shows like How I Met Your Mother. I try to enjoy life as much as possible, In warmer weather I like to go fishing, camping, etc. I am not that much into sports, but I do enjoy watching the I Cubs play, or going to a good college basketball game. I enjoy live theater, especially shows at the Des Moines Playhouse or Drake University. I enjoy watching a good movie now and then, especially comedies or movies like Leap Year or Red. I like to travel, especially by car, so I can actually see things along the way. I would like to date a person who is kind, easy going, and likes to try new things. I only date non-smokers, sorry. About life style :
Pretty easy going, I accept people the way they are, if they are nice I like to hang out with them, if they are not nice, I try to avoid them. I try to enjoy each day as much as possible. I am not a long range planner for the most part. When I see something interesting, especially close by and affordable, I like to take part. I am not a miser, but I do try to spend wisely, and save for the more important things. I am willing to go do things by myself, but I think it is a lot more enjoyable to have someone with me. I enjoy cooking, and tend to make most of my meals from fresh ingredients when possible, but I do enjoy eating out from time to time, especially at ethnic restaurants where I can get a dish that I am less likely to make at home. I am not a morning person, and I like to sleep in whenever I can. I like to have something to do, rather than sit around watching TV, but at the same time I like a leisurely pace instead of a hectic lifestyle.
