I rarely, if ever, stand on ceremony, but for the sake of getting your attention, I'll give it a shot. I'm a good sport, and so to disprove the notion that no one really reads these things (or skims them superficially), here goes nothing...or perhaps something. I guess you'll decide along the way. My name is Danny and I'm a faculty member at two universities where I teach in the fields of gerontology, health science, and social work. Prior to 2009, school consumed my every waking moment. My significant other was a 150 page dissertation that I've since parted ways with somewhat amicably, even though it got the house and kids in the settlement. While I consider myself to be very much of the humdrum variety, I think everyone around me with actual lives makes up for that. Yet, in the midst of it all, I readily admit that I don%u2019t really fit in anywhere within the spectrum, but that's who I am, and that's what I like. As far as who and what I'm looking for, I'm all about developing a solid basis for a friendship and seeing where things go in the process. So while I'm initially looking for something platonic, I'd like to think that anything can grow from it. Let's find out.
