I'm self- employed with a flexible work schedule. I try to have a balance between work and play. I love to travel and do so when ever I have the time and money to make it happen. At the beginning of 2010, I spent 40 days in New Zealand and Australia. I met local folks by using Couchsurfing. When I'm not traveling, I'm pretty much a homebody, either hanging out with friends or going out to see music. I have been attending two music festival yearly for awhile- Bonnaroo in Tennessee, and the Philadelphia Folk Festival where I volunteer.

I was raised in a religious family- a preacher's kid and always went to church and always questioned everything. I grew up in Cameroun and Nigeria where my father worked in the churches. My formative years were mostly outside of the USA which gives me a different world view than the typical American. I attended Episcopal and Quaker schools and the school I call "Hippie school". The most important part of my education was learning how to think critically and to think for myself. While I have been a member of or involved with churches most of my life, my spiritual life is not limited by organized religion. I believe that religion and science are two ends on a continuum meant to explain the universe and our purpose. I have found meditation (TM) and Dances of Universal Peace (Sufi Dancing) to contribute greatly to my individual spiritual growth and my connection to community.
