If you go to Allegros on Sunday nights you will meet a huge crowd of dancers gathered around a big dance floor. This is a perfect opportunity to meet many singletons who are looking for the same things as you are. Go ahead and invite someone you like after a dance for a cup of coffee.
In addition to the restaurants and venues mentioned above, there is a hidden gem which US folks can really make the most of. This is the website called meetup.com. I encourage all of you singletons to join this site and look up venues close to your home. There are all types of clubs and events happening grouped into many different interests. For example, if you are in photography, there will be a group host who will organize events in that specific area of interest. The website allows group organizers to set up their club or activity and any person is free to join. You are sure to find some events that are up your interest field and once you go, you will be surprised by the number of people you meet including the single folks.

For a touch of class visit this established French restaurant in nearby Livermore. The settings are considered gorgeous and the food sumptuous. Although a pretty penny on your pocket, if your date is worth it then this venue is sure to impress. Go during a nice summer day or a warm evening.
Although Pleasanton may not boast all the amenities or activities for an up and coming single person, the place is close to many other nearby towns and cities. With a short drive of 30 minutes or so, you will end up in Berkeley, Oakland and even San Francisco where you can enjoy all the sights, sounds and culinary experiences that you can ever wish for. Being an avid salsa dancer myself, I occasionally visit Down Low Lounge in Berkeley where they have some of the best musical bands playing there. Price can’t be beat, for $10 you get classes and a great band to boot. There is something about dancing to a band rather than just DJ music the music is very addictive.
